BYU Win @ Home vs. Houston!

This last Thursday, September 11, 2014, BYU played their first home game in Provo versus Houston and won 33-25.

The game against Houston was a tough one. BYU was ahead 23-0 in the first half until they committed some turnovers and Houston caught up 23-15 at halftime. BYU pulled out the win with some great playmakers in their quarterback, Taysom Hill, running back, Jamaal Williams, and defensive back, Craig Bills. It was a close, rough game, with BYU having plenty to improve on. I believe it was a tougher game because they didn't have the usual full week to prepare for it like they usually do. Plus, they just faced a physical defense of Texas. For their Virginia game next week they should be well-rested and well-prepared to have a special win. Houston did a good job keeping up with BYU.

This next week, BYU will play at home again on Saturday, September 20, 2014 against Virginia at 1:30 PM MST on either ESPN or ESPNU. It will be a "white out" game where BYU will be wearing all white. There will be a Countdown to Kickoff and Post Game show on BYUTV before and after the game respectively.
