Alongside a lot of announcements for post-season college football, it was announced who BYU Football (8-4 overall record) will be playing in the Miami Beach Bowl game. They will be playing the American Athletic Conference co-champion (they tied with two other teams, Cincinnati and UCF), the Memphis Tigers. Memphis has an (9-3 overall record; 7-1 conference record) experienced veteran defense and two good running backs.They are 5th overall in points against (17.1 points per game) and 30th in points scored (34.7 points per game).
From what I know about Memphis so far, I think it will be a good game. Memphis told their conference that they want to play BYU, so for me it's good to see that desire to play us.
Here are some broadcast details. It will be played on Monday, December 22, 2014, at 12:00 PM MST (2:00 PM ET) and broadcast on ESPN! Plus, on BYUtv there will be the daily BYU Sports Nation show (10:00 AM MST), the Countdown to Kickoff pre-game show (11:00 AM MST), and after the game (approximately 3:30 PM MST) the Post-Game show!
