The video link above talks about the author of "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" and why she wrote it. In my eyes, this hymn/song is one of the greatest patriotic songs ever written. Below are some verses of the hymn. I bear my testimony that I know that the Lord was behind the creation of this great nation. I know he had a hand in the results of the Revolutionary War and Civil War. He has inspired leaders of this nation like George Washington. I testify that God's "truth is marching on", and He is marching with us. If we maintain faith in Him, He will be forever with us. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord;
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword:
